Treba posebno napomenuti uništenje dve rafinerije nafte (u Pančevu i Novom Sadu), rušenje Avalskog tornja, zgrade Radio-televizije Srbije, Petrohemije u Pančevu, bombardovanje mostova u Novom Sadu, fabrike automobila Zastava iz Kragujevca, Duvanske industrije u Nišu, ambasade Narodne Republike Kine i mnoge druge civilne ciljeve. Srbije, Crne Gore, Rep.
Dear friends, respected radio-amateurs, The Emergency amateur radio communication network - RMZO of Amateur Radio Union of Serbia - SRS starts at the frequency 3725, then through the VHF and UHF repeater network as well as via the DMR repeater radio network, which is connected via the Internet to Digital Repeaters around the world. My name is Dusan Ceha YU1EA. At the beginning let me say some words: NEVER TO BE FORGOTTEN! On the day of March 24, 1999, at 19:45 hours, NATO carried out air strikes against Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. In unrestrained attacks lasting 78 days, infrastructure, businesses, schools, health facilities, media outlets, cultural monuments, churches and monasteries were badly damaged. The estimation of the damage that Serbia had, ranged up to 100 billion US dollars. The final number of victims has not been officially announced, but according to the Serbian resources, we had from 1,200 to 2,500 dead and about 6,000 wounded. During the bombing, 2,300 air strikes were carried out on 995 facilities across the country, and 1,150 combat aircraft launched close to 420,000 missiles of a total weight of 22,000 tons. Ammunition loaded with depleted uranium, as well as cluster bombs for bombardment of civilian targets was used, which is prohibited under the Geneva Convention. NATO launched a total of 1,300 cruise missiles, extradited 37,000 cluster bombs. The bombing destroyed and damaged 25,000 housing units, 470 km of roads and 595 km of railroad tracks were disabled. 14 airports, 19 hospitals, 20 health centers, 18 kindergartens, 69 schools, 176 cultural monuments and 44 bridges were damaged, while 38 were destroyed. Special mention should be made of the destruction of two oil refineries (in Pancevo and Novi Sad), the demolition of the Avala Tower, the building of Radio-Television Serbia, petrochemicals in Pancevo, the bombing of bridges in Novi Sad, the Zastava factory in Kragujevac, the city of Nis, Embassy of the People's Republic of China and many other civilian targets. As one of the consequences of the bombing, Serbia has seen between 15,000 and 20,000 new cases of cancer since 1999,and now that number is over 30,000 new patients. It has been officially announced that Serbia is the first country in Europe after mortality from malignant tumors. This is all because of NATO bombing, during which 15 tones of depleted uranium were thrown to Serbia The bombing of the FR of Yugoslavia was carried out without the decision of the United Nations, which violated its Charter, but the aggressors did not observe it. Although it was rather inferior to NATO, the Yugoslav Army provided a determined resistance to air strikes. Since the first day of the bombing of the FR of Yugoslavia, NATO bombers and cruise missiles have opposed the Air Force and the air defense of the Yugoslav Army. Significant contribution to the defense of our country besides the VJ, the Police and other structures were given, the radio-amateurs of the Republic of Serbia, Montenegro, the Republic of Srpska, as well as many of foreign radio-amaters all over Europe and the world. For this purpose, the Amateur Radio Union of Serbia established Emergency Amateur radio Communication Network - RMZO, which worked on HF and VHF/UHF waves through the repeater network. The main center of the radio network was located in the radio club New Belgrade YU1FJK, where important information was collected from the amateurs and forwarded Yugoslav Army. In this Emergency network participated in over 2000 radio-amateurs from the whole territory of Serbia, Montenegro and the Republic of Srpska. Radio-amateurs of Serbia showed great courage, mutuality, knowledge. For demonstrated courage and knowledge in the defense of the country, the Amateur Radio Union of Serbia-SRS received the Order of Merit in the Defense of Federal Republic of Jugoslavia from the FRY President. Today, too, we have gathered in this peacetime RMZO SRS to show everyone that Serbian radio-amateurs with even greater strength are ready to help their country in defense regardless of who will be an aggressor. Honored radio-amateurs, I invite you to give a minute of silence to all dead heroes and to citizens who gave their lives in the defense of our country. Glory to them!
